Gear
Everything you wear head to toe, every training and every game. Here's what to buy, in what order, and where to get it.
Just trying it out first?
Don't buy everything on day one. For your first sessions (Bring a Friend / try-outs) we can usually sort you out with loaner gear — ask [Bram / the team manager] before you spend. Bare minimum to get on the ice safely: helmet with cage, gloves, elbow pads, shin guards, and skates that fit. The rest follows fast once you know you're staying.
The full Kit
Head to toe. Required unless marked optional.

Helmet
Cage, visor or bubble. Doesn't matter as long as you have something on your head.
Preferable in black.

Neck Guard
Mandatary during practise and games.

Chest and shoulder pads
Needs to fit comfortable. Find something that suits your body.

Elbow pads
Your elbow needs to be snug, it's usually the first thing that touches the ice when you fall.

Gloves
Ice-hockey specific, your hands nees to be snug but gloves should easely be able to be removed.
Black (with another color) is preferred but doesn't matter at our level.

Pants
Make sure there is extra protection on your tailbone.

Protective cup
I don't think you need an explanation.
Try buying one with velcro at the bottom, this is easier to attach your socks

Shin guards
Knee caps should sit in the cup. Bottom of the shin should have 1 cm of play with you skate.

Skates
The most important part, don't go cheap on these. Get nicer ones and get them baked to your foot. They should be very snug.

Stick
Very personal. Right length, lefty or righty. What flex would you like?
Base setup: Usually left handed, 85 flex, a P92 or P28 blade curve, and a low-to-hybrid kick point

Shirt
Black and White shirt. Ask your Team manager to buy one or two.

Socks
These ones are the correct competition socks. You can buy them at the Leuven SkateWorld Shop.
